PALM EXPO 2009, featuring INSTALL China 2009, the International exhibition on Professional Audio,Lighting, Music & Technology is now into its 18th year, returns again from 28th to 31st May 2009expanding into two venues this year at the China International Centre (CIEC) in Beijing and NationalAgricultural Exhibition Centre (NAEC) in view of the high response in participation. The Pro Audio, AV/Systems Integration and Lighting segment of the event remains in CIEC whilstthe Musical instrument segment is moved to the NAEC halls occupying a gross area of 85,000 sqmof space, making it the largest event ever with over 20 per cent increase in exhibition area, makingPALM EXPO the world’s No. 2 event. The show organisers, IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd (IIR), China Entertainment Technology Association(CETA) and China Technology Market Management and Promotion Centre (Sinotechmart) aregearing up in full swing working to build an innovative show rich in content and services. Some 1200 exhibitors are expected to take part in this year’s show, with exhibition areas includingoutdoor booths spread across 85,000 sqm of exhibition space. China’s GDP growth which isprojected at 6.8% in the year 2009, presents multiple business opportunities in a developingmarket with several upcoming projects in the pipeline.
